Burial was at 5 p.m. in Robert Lee cemetery, directed by Cooper Funeral Chapel and assisted by Williams Funeral Home of Robert Lee. Mr. Adkins died Friday in the Wink Nursing Home following a long illness. He was born Feb. 4, 1998 in Sanco to pioneer parents, the late Mr. and Mrs. Tom Adkins. He married Susie Barrnett Dec. 25, 1919 in Robert Lee. She died June 29, 1953. He was married to Veda Earls July 7, 1966 in Kermit. Mr. Adkins was a constable and had lived in Kermit for 17 years, after moving from Robert Lee in 1951. He was a Baptist. Survivors include his wife, three sons, Woodson of Midland, J. D. of Christoval and Neal of Odessa; two daughters, Mrs, E. R. Buford of Odessa and Mrs. Sue Ammons of San Antonio,; a stepdaughter, Mrs. Jim Smith of Alvin; two brothers, Jack Adkins of Gravetit, Ark., and James Adkins of Ohio; two sisters, Mrs. Ozella Harris of Ohio and Mrs. Joella Lackey of Las Cruces, N.
