Funeral sevices were held at 3 p.m. Tuesday in Robert Lee Baptist Church with the Rev. Bill Beaty officiating with burial in Valley View cemetery under direction of Williams Funeral Home. She was the former Annie Rebecca Bessent, born May 10, 1902 in the Valley View Community and was married to Martin Casey Jan. 5, 1921 in Robert Lee. She was a member of the Baptist Church. Survivors include her husband, two sons, Elmer Casey of Palmdale, Calif., Frankie Casey of San Angelo, three daughters, Mrs. Dorothy Caulder, Robert Lee, Miss Brenda Casey of the home, Mrs.Tommy McDaniel of Midland; six brothers, Warren Bessent, Pecos, Dick Bessent, Houston, Joe Bessent, Freeport, Allen Bessent, Eureka, Calif., Alvin Bessent, Eden and Ray Bessent, Texas City; three sisters, Mrs. Myrtle Watson, Robert Lee, Mrs. Ethel Lofton, Blythe, Calif., Ruby Wheatly, Ceres, Calif.; and 14 grandchildren.
