Rives, 85, died at 11:30 p.m. Monday in the West Coke Hospital of a heart attack. Funeral services were held at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday in the Methodist Church with the Rev. Bill McKinley, pastor, officiating. Burial was in Robert Lee Cemetery directed by Williams Funeral Home. She was born June 25, 1881 in Llano to pioneer parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. M. Walker. She married Tom E. Rives June 28, 1900 at Sweetwater and came to Coke County in 1916. They settled in the Friendship community where they farmed until Mr. Rives' death in 1954. Survivors are three sons, Pat and Tom of Robert Lee, John of Odessa, two daughters, Mrs. Daisy Trimble of Robert Lee, Mrs. Dora Owen of Odessa; three brothers, Jess Walker of Lamesa, R. L. Walker of Colorado City, Fred Walker of Sweetwater; two sisters, Mrs. S. A. Ashley of Stanton and Mrs. Richard Finley of Bonham; 13 grandchildren and 26 great grandchildren. Pallbearers were Raymond Cornelison of Rotan; L. B. Menielle of San Angelo; Freeman Clark, J. B. Robertson, Victor Wojtek and Glenn Waldrop, all of Robert Lee.
