Mrs. Emory Davis Spent Life Here

Funeral services were set for 3 o'clock Wednesday afternoon for Mrs. 
Emory C. Davis, who died at 2:30 Tuesday after a lingering illness.

She had been under oxygen at Coke Memorial Hospital, had rallied Monday 
and Tuesday, chatting with nurses and others, when death came quietly 
and suddenly.

Corena Robert Davis was born July 17, 1919, reaching the age of 52 years, 
9 months.  She was married to Emory C. Davis of Robert Lee, July 20 1929.  
Her home, before and after her marriage has always been at Robert Lee, 
or nearby.

Mrs. Davis is survived by her husband and by four sons: Vaughn S. Davis 
of Robert Lee and Silver; Waymond C., of Midland; Garland E. of Robert Lee, 
and Edwin G. of Sweetwater; two brothers, Artell and Earl Roberts of 
Robert Lee, two sisters, Mrs. Leona Wallace and Mrs. Alice Benton of 
Robert Lee; four grandchildren, Sherrell Ann, Glenn Allen, Dona Kaye, 
and Allan Wade Davis.

Pallbearers were Julian Stroud, Delmar Stroud, J. C. Wallace, Jr., 
Royce Wallace, Add Davis, and Sherman Williams.

Clift Funeral Home was in charge, with burial in Robert Lee Cemetery.
