B. Millican, 82, well known Robert Lee man and a long time Coke county resident, were held last Thursday at 3 p.m. in the Methodist Church with the pastor, Rev. Travis McNair, officiating. Burial was in Robert Lee Cemetery under direction of Clift Funeral Home. Grandsons were pallbearers. ISAAC BAREFOOT MILLICAN was born June 4, 1878, in Bosque County, Texas. He came to Coke County in 1893 with his parents, JOHN E. and NANCY EDWARDS MILLICAN. The family lived in the Bronte locality for some time and then in the Edith and Wildcat communities. He married Miss ELIZABETH GARDNER in Robert Lee Nov. 6, 1901. They spent a few years in New Mexico but returned to Coke County in 1909. The next year they moved to Motley County where he farmed and ranched. He retired in 1938 when they moved back to Robert Lee. He had been in declining health the past few months His condition became critical the past month and he was admitted to Coke County Memorial Hospital where he passed away in the early hours of June 15. "Uncle Ike", as he was known to his friends, was a good citizen and a good friend and neighbor. He joined the Methodist Church in 1933. He was loved and admired by a wide group of acquaintences who will miss his friendly smile and happy disposition. Surviving are his wife, two daughters and five sons. The children are PRESTON MILLICAN of Austin, TRUMAN MILLICAN of Littlefield, DEWEY MILLICAN of Welch, ALTON MILLICAN of San Antonio, TALMAN MILLICAN of Panhandle, Mrs. EUNICE WILSON of Tampa, FLA., and Mrs. JACK SAUNDERS of Stanton. He is also survived by three brothers, DAVE MILLICAN of Robert Lee, HADE MILLICAN of San Angelo, and JOHN MILLICAN of Lordsburg, and three sisters, Mrs. LOTTIE CLUBB of Deming, N. Mex., and, Mrs. LAURA CAPPS and Mrs. KATHERINE HOOTS of Robert Lee. There are 19 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren and a host of cousins and other relatives.
