Mrs. Jackson Rites Slated at Bronte

Mrs. Susie Jackson, 90, died at 5:30 a.m. Tuesday, January 2, in Bronte 
at the home of her daughter, Mrs. George Wrinkle.

Services were held at 2 p.m. Thursday in Bronte Church of Christ with burial 
in Bronte Fairview Cemetery.

Susan Oliver Rodgers was born December 11, 1877 in Erath County, Texas to 
W. H. Rodgers and Martha Dozier and came to Coke County in 1888.  She was 
married to Charlie Jackson Dec. 16, 1898.

Survivors include a son, Herman Jackson of Bronte; three daughters, Mrs. Homer 
Phillips and Mrs. George Wrinkle, both of Bronte and Mrs. Marion Mitchell of 
Midland; a brother, A. E. Rodgers of Hobbs, N. M.; 12 grandchildren and 31 
great - grandchildren.
