The submitter has given permission to the USGenWeb Archives to store the file permanently for free access. http://www.usgwarchives.net/ Submitted by Jo Collier - jomar@wcc.net 9 Oct 2000 ***************************************************************** The Robert Lee Observer - October 28, 1965 Last Rites Held for Mrs. Bilbo, County Pioneer Funeral services for Mrs. Jennie Bilbo, 87, were conducted at the Robert Lee Methodist Church Monday at 3 p.m. Officiating were Douglas Rhore, minister of the Silver Church of Christ, and the Rev. Bill McKinley. Burial was in the Robert Lee cemetery with Williams Funeral Home in charge. Mrs. Bilbo died about 10 p.m. Saturday in Colonial Nursing Home of San Angelo where she had been a patient for 20 months. She was born December 30, 1877 in Mississippi, and moved to Coke County in 1903. She was married to Wade T. Anderson, who died in 1902, and later to B. W. Bilbo who died in 1943. She was a member of the Church of Christ. Survivors are three sons, Hal Anderson and Sherman Anderson, both of Silver, and Shelton Anderson of McCamey; five stepsons, Otho Bilbo of Hobbs, N. M., R. W. Bilbo of Encinal, A. B. Bilbo of Long Beach, Calif., A. J. Bilbo of Robert Lee and Vernon Bilbo of Las Cruces, N. M.; five stepdaughters, Mrs. A. M. Talent and Mrs. Minnie Randle, both of San Saba, Mrs. J. O. Creighton of Elida, N. M., Mrs. Lou Ella Bessent of Robert Lee and Mrs. R. L. McGuire of Big Lake; 24 grandchildren and numerous great and great-great grandchildren. Pallbearers were Chism Brown, John Brown, Fern Havins, J. W. Service, J. C. Snead and E. C.
