B. Murray, Miss Nancy Murray, 75 years a resident of this community, went to rest here after a long illness and was buried in Robert Lee Cemetery Saturday afternoon. Funeral was at the Robert Lee Baptist Church, with the pastor, Rev. Bill Beaty conducting the service and Clift Funeral home in charge. Death came at the Coke Memorial Hospital here Friday morning. She is survived by four sisters, Miss Effie Murray, with whom she lived in Robert Lee, Mrs. Pearl Cave and Mrs. Trudy Johnson both of Prosser, Washington, and Mrs. Susan Warren of Arizona and several nieces and nephews. Miss Nancy and Miss Effie had lived here many years. All her sisters were with her in the last days, and had come from time to time to be with her in the long illness. Her father, the pioneer sheriff, passed on in 1923. The family lived at Sanco for awhile in early days, but came to Robert Lee before the turn of the century. Nancy Murray lived her quiet uncomplaining life to the end among friends she knew in childhood. Permission granted by Observer/Enterprise for publication in the Coke County TXGenWeb Archives
