Services will be held at 11 a.m. today in Resthaven Funeral Home in Lubbock with burial in Lubbock Cemetery. He was born Sept. 5, 1920 in Sanco in Coke County, was married to Christine Oliver in Brownwood in 1941, lived in Lubbock and recently moved to Houston. He was a veteran of World War 11 and the Korean conflict. Survivors include his wife, of Houston; three sons, Don Carwile and John Carwile both of Lubbock and Joe Carwile of North Carolina, a daughter, Mrs. Louis (Sue) Graham of Lubbock; five brothers, Herman Carwile of Carlsbad, N. M., Homer Carwile of Robert Lee, Wilson Carwile of Big Spring, Henry Carwile and J. L. Carwile, both of Sanco; a sister, Miss Effie Carwile Of Sanco; and six grandchildren.
