A. (Myrtle Charlotte) Cox, 72, mother of a San Angeloan, died at 1:45 a.m. in West Coke County Nursing Home after a lengthy illness. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday in First United Methodist Church with burial in Robert Lee Cemetery directed by Newby Funeral Home. She was born Myrtle Charlotte Wilson, Feb. 6, 1900 in Denison and was married to Morgan A. Cox, May 20, 1920 in San Angelo. They lived in and around San Angelo until 1941 when the couple moved to a ranch in Coke County. They had lived there since. She was a member of First Christian Church in San Angelo. Survivors include her husband; six sons, Bill Cox of Houma, La., Morgan Cox Jr. of San Angelo, Bobby Cox of Robert Lee, Russell Cox of Fort Worth, Ted Cox of Kansas City, Mo.
