Robert Lee - 

Mrs. Eva Vowell, 86, of Robert Lee died at 12:45 p.m. December 16, 1975, 
at West Coke County Hospital. Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in 
Robert Lee Baptist with burial in Robert Lee Cemetery directed by 
Newby Funeral Home. 

She was born December 13, 1889 in Coleman County.  She came to Coke County 
with her parents, the late Mr. and Mrs. M. H. Havins, in 1891.   She was 
married to Joe Vowell March 24, 1907 in Robert Lee.  He died in 1910.  
She lived in the Valley View Community near Robert Lee many years, but had 
lived with a daughter in Abilene a few years before becoming a resident of 
West Coke Hospital Nursing Home two years ago.

Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. D. T. (Lois) McCleskey of Abilene, a 
brother, Fern Havins of Robert Lee; three sisters, Mrs. Ed (Bernice) Roberts 
of Robert Lee, Mrs. Ma Winans of San Antonio and Mrs. David (Bessie) Reed 
of Riverside, California; a granddaughter and two great great grandsons.
