Services were held at the Church of Christ of Haskell at 2:30 p.m., Sept. 3, with Rev. Jim Crain, pastor, and Rev. Bob Connel of Baker Heights Chhurch of Christ officiating. Burial was in Willow Cemetery. Mrs. Adkins was born Marh 26, 1910 in Haskell. She was married to James Adkins May 5, 1930, in Rule. She was a retired school cafeteria employee, retiring in 1975 after 14 years employment. She is survived by her husband, James, of Haskell; two daughters, Betty Criswon of Plainview, and Eva Dunnam, of Abilene, formerly of Bronte; one brother, George Field of Haskell; five sisters, Nola Pierson of Tuscola, Ida Mae Cavanaugh of Norwalk, Calif.; Estelle Norman of Rule, Adelle Bogard of Rule, Willie John Viney of Lubbock; three grandchildren, David Criswell, Don Criswell, Jim Dunnam; granddaughter-in-law, De Ann Criswell; and one greatgranddaughter, Taryn Criswell. Pallbearers were: Virgil Sonnamaker, Glen Merchant, Roy Medford, Burnell Gilliand, Billy Jack Ray and Hess Hartsfield.
