(Vera Mae) Blair passed away on Tuesday, June 23 at the home of her daughter in Placerville, California. She was 60 years old, and had been in ill health with cancer for several years. Memorial services were held at the Rescue Baptist Church in Rescue, CA Thursday, June 26, at 2:00 p.m. Officiating was the Rev. Gene Harmon. Burial was in the Lakeside Memorial Lawn Cemetery at Fulson, CA under direction of Chapel of the Pines Funeral Home. Vera Mae Adam was born July 6, 1917 at Sanco. Her parents were the late Mr. and Mrs. G.F. Adam . She attended Sanco School and graduate with her senior class in May 1935 at Robert Lee High School. She attended a 50 years high school class reunion in Robert Lee, Oct. 1985. At that time 9 members of the 13 who graduated in 1936 were present. She and Orby E. Blair were married May 5, 1938 in Texas and moved to New Mexico where they were engaged in highway construction work for several years before moving to southem California in 1942 to work at Northrup Aircraft, Inc. Her husband preceded her in death Sept., 1977. She was also preceded in death by a daughter, her parents, and 2 sisters. Survivors are I daughter, Mrs. Larry (Florece) Harvey; 3 brothers, Jesse Adams, La Candu, CA, Leon Adams, Santa Anna, CA. and Melvin Adams, Eastland; 2 sisters, Mrs. J.M. (Mary) Prine, Robert Lee and Mrs. Ray (Virginia) Foltz, Paluma CA.; 6 grandchildren; 6 great- grandchildren; 2 aunts, Mrs. Homer Jameson, Silver, Mrs. Pat Adams, Colorado City; and numerous nieces and nephews, and cousins.
