Bloodworth, 93 a pioneer citizen of Silver, died at 7:30 a.m. Mon., Oct. 31, 1983, at West Coke County Nursing Home. She had been a resident of the Nursing Home for six months. Funeral services were held at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday at Robert Lee Baptist Church with the Rev. Jimmy Rogers of San Angelo officiating, assisted by the Rev. Roy Epperson of Robert Lee. Burial was at McKenzieville Cemetery, near Silver, under the direction of Shaffer Funeral HOme. Grandsons served as pallbearers. Mary Almira Walker was born July 26, 1890 at Trickham in McCulloch County, daughter of William Robert and Mary Eliza (Brannan) Walker. She came to Coke County with her family when she was 3 years old and had lived at Silver since except for four years in Abilene and one year at Woody. She was married to Horace Lee Bloodworth on December 15, 1912 at Silver. He died Aug. 27, 1980. She was a housewife and a member of the Silver Baptist Church. Survivors include four sons; Allen Bloodworth, Raymond Bloodworth and Clayton Bloodworth, all of Silver, and Ernest Bloodworth, San Angelo; two daughters, Mrs. Willie (Daisy) Price of Silver and Mrs. J. C. (Jewell) Wallace Jr. of Robert Lee; 21 grandchildren and 18 great- grandchildren; two sisters-in-law, Mrs. Jack (Bessie) Walker of Robert Lee and Mrs. Arthur (Ora) Bloodworth of Granbury. A daughter, Mrs. Waymon (Ruby) Robertson preceeded her in death March 13, 1982 and a son L. C., died March 11, 1930. -----------------------Note of Josephine Bird: Mary Walker Bloodworth refused life in a parsonage, so Bro. Bloodworth pastored churches in traveling distance from his home. He was beloved in Sanco, where he held services many times.
