Services were conducted Nov. 8, Friday, Nov. 8, in Robert Lee Baptist Church with the Rev. Roy Epperson officiating. Burial was in Robert Lee Cemetery, directed by Shaffer Funeral. Mr. Carwile was born and raised in Sanco. He married Lucille Smith in Silver on Nov. 23, 1929. They had made their home in the Edith Community until moving to Robert Lee in 1952. He was a member and deacon in the Robert Lee Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife, Lucille, Carwile of Robert Lee; one son and daughterin-law, Bill and Pat Carwile of Kerrville; three brothers, Herman Carwile of Carlsbad, N.M., Henry Carwile of Robert Lee and Wilsbn Carmile of Dallas; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
