Obituary: Mary Ellen "Mae" Eads, November 19, 1983 Contributed by Brenda Scott Hines July 2015 *********************************************************************** The Bronte Enterprise, Coke County, November 25, 1983 Services for Mrs. Eads Held Mary Ellen "Mae" Eads, 94, of Bronte, a Comanche County native, died at 9:30 a.m. November 19, 1983 at West Coke County Hospital in Robert Lee. Services were at 2:30 p.m., Monday at Bronte Church of Christ. Ron Exum, minister, officiated assisted by A. D. McCarty of the Primitive Baptist Church in Tennyson. Burial was in Old Fort Chadbourne Cemetery in Coke County directed by Shaffer Funeral Home. Born Mary Ellen Keith, May 15, 1889 in Comanche County, she married W. J. Eads Dec. 6, 1909 in Comanche. She moved to Coke County in 1925, and to Bronte in 1952. She was a member of the Primitive Baptist Church. Her husband, William Jesse Eads died Sept. 24, 1947. Survivors include a son, Jesse Jr. of Robert Lee; two daughters Mrs. Oscar (Pearl) Renshaw of Bronte and Mrs. Merle Barrett of Bronte; a brother, George Keith of De Leon; a sister, Mrs. Earl (Bessie) Clark of De Leon; two grandchildren, Jesse Eads III, Robert Lee, Mrs. Arnold (Jessie) Stout, Odessa; great-grand-daughter, Tara Stout, Odessa; daughter in Law, Willie Eads, Robert Lee, son-in-law Oscar Renshaw; and grandson-in-law, Arnie Stout. Pallbearers were; Royce Eads, Borger; Bob Eads, Fritch; J.
