Mrs. Josephine Jordan of Klamath, California passed away at 3 a.m. Friday June 1, 1984 in a Crescent City, Calif. hospital. Funeral services were held Monday June 4, 1984 at 10 a.m. in the Wiers Mortuary Chapel with her son Dwayne Jordan of Gallup, New Mexico, officiating. Her daughter-in-law, Mrs. Elaine Jordan, sang, "In The Garden." Burial was in the 100 F Memorial Cemetery under direction of the Wiers Mortuary at Crescent City, Calif. Josephine LaVerda Adams was born June 9; 1920 in Burkburnett, Texas. She moved to Coke County at an early age with her parents Mr. and Mrs. G.F. Adams and was reared in the Sanco area where she attended both Sanco and Robert Lee Schools, where she graduated in May 1939. She married Robert Lee (Bob) Jordan in Big Spring, June 30, 1938. They moved to southern California in 1941 and have been residents of that state since. Survivors include her husband Bob, of the home; 2 sons, Jerry of Albuquerque, New Mexico, Dwayne Jordan of Gallup, N. Mex; two daughters, Mrs. Ken Hall (Polly) of Puyallup, Washington, Mrs. Art Gunninghand (Lorna) of Redlands, Calif; 3 brothers, Melvin Adams, Ranger Texas, Jesse Adams of La Canada, Calif. Leon Adams of Santa Ana, Calif., 3 sisters, Mrs. Vera Mae Blair, Rescue, Calif., Mrs. Ray Foltz, Valencia, Calif., Mrs. J.M Prine Jr. (Mary) of Sanco, Texas. She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Mrs. Minta Williams, in March of 1979. Other relatives attending the funeral with the above listed were Mr. and Mrs. Bill Jordan of Sacramento, Calif., Royal Jordan of Houston, Texas, Mr. and Mrs. Audrey Peays, San Francisco, Mrs. Lynn Jordan, Albuquerque, New Mex., and Mrs. Elaine Jordan of Gallup, New Mex.
