Services were held Monday, Nov. 6th at 3 p. m. at Central Baptist Church in Bronte with the Rev. R. W. Blackmon and Rev. Clyde White officiating. Burial was in Fairview Cemetery, directed by Shaffer Funeral Home. Scott was born April 10, 1927 in Bronte and lived here most of his life. He was an oilfield worker many years and was a World War II veteran of the Navy. Survivors include his wife, Carolyn Jeanne Scott; five sons and their wives; David and Donna Scott of Bronte, Richard and Toby Scott, Darwin Eugene and Patricia Scott, and Timothy and Shelly Scott, all of San Angelo, Randy and Carrie Scott of Yuma, Arizona, one sister Anna Maurice Jones of Portland, Oregon; two brothers, Billy Ray Scott of Athens and Noel Dean Scott of Kilgore; and nine grandchildren. Pallbearers were: Wayne Coalson, Merritt Scott, Mike Athey, Barry Scott, Daniel Scott, Steve Scott, Ken Scott and Gary Scott.
