All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/tx/txfiles.htm *********************************************************************** The Observer/Enterprise, Robert Lee, Coke County, TX - February 1, 1991 CAPERTON Leslie Dean Caperton, 53, of Brentwood, Tennessee, and formerly of San Angelo, died Friday, January 25, 1991, in Brentwood. Service was conducted at 2 pm Tuesday, January 29, at the First Baptist Church of San Angelo with Dr. Jerold McBride, pastor, offciat- ing. Burial followed in the Fairview Cemetery in Bronte, directed by Robert Massie Funeral Home. He was born October 26, 1937, in Bronte and had been living in Tennessee for 10 years. A graduate of Texas Tech University in 1969, he was in the automobile business all of his life. Leslie purchased the Mazda and Volkswagen dealership of San Angelo in 1970 and was there until 1976 when he moved to Plano to become the general manager of the Late Chevrolet Co. He later left Plano and became a vice- president of the Beaman Automotive Group in Nashville, Tennessee. Mr. Caperton was ordained a deacon in the First Baptist Church in San Angelo and was also a deacon of the Baptist Church in Brentwood. He is survived by his wife, Wanda Caperton of Brentwood; two daughters, Gayle Golladay of Plano and Karen Barnes of Phoenix, Arizona; one son, Kevin Caperton of Auburn, Alabama; a sister, Savannah Belcher of Odessa; two brothers, R. T. Caperton of Bronte and Matthew Caperton of Big Spring and three grandchildren. Pallbearers were Bobby Fletcher, Frank Sanders, Eddie Surface, C. V.
