Graveside services were held Tuesday, November 6, 1997, at 11 am at the Belvedere Memorial Park Cemetery in San Angelo with the Reverend Charles Beal officiating. Services were under the direction of Shaffer Funeral Home. Mr. Hill was born September 25, 1928, in San Angelo. He was a WWII Army Veteran, also serving in the Merchant Marines. He was a butcher for the Armour Star Meat Packing Plant before his retirement. He had been a resident of Blackwell since 1989, moving from Tennyson. He was Buddist, and a member of the S.G.I. Survivors include his wife Doris A. Hill of Blackwell; two sons, Don Aaron Hill and family from Killeen, Texas, and Louis Aaron Hill, Jr., of Littleton, Colorado; two daughters, Doris LaFawn and family of Carlsbad, Texas, and Linda Moser-Baugh of Menard, Texas; two brothers, James P. Hill, Jr. of Maverick, and Arlen Lee Hill of San Angelo; two sisters, Velma Crooks of San Angelo and Mary Lee Couch of Amarillo, Texas; eight grandchildren; and twelve great-grandchildren.
