San Angelo Standard-Times, 1 Jan 1997 Winnie Palmer ROBERT LEE - Winnie Mae Palmer, 83, of Robert Lee died Tuesday, Dec. 31, 1996, in an Athens hospital. Service will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Robert Lee Baptist Church with burial in the McKenziville Cemetery in Silver. Arrangements are by Shaffer Funeral Home. She was born Aug. 10, 1913, in Coke County and had been a resident of Robert Lee since 1986. She was a homemaker and a member of the Silver Baptist Church. Survivors include a son, Johnny Preston Palmer of Duncanville; a daughter, Marcell Goggans of Murchison; a brother, William Walker of Wood Dale, Ill.; six grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
