Funeral services were held at 11 am Saturday, December 6, 1997, at the Bronte Church of Christ with Brother John Driggers officiating. Burial followed in Fairview Cemetery with services under the direction of Shaffer Funeral Home. Mr. Coalson was born July 30, 1904, in Bronte. He was a lifetime resident of Bronte. He was a stock farmer and a member of the Bronte Church of Christ. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Bernice Scott Coalson in 1973, and a son Delbert Coalson in 1975. He is survived by his wife, Odella Coalson of Bronte, a son, Cecil Coalson of Bronte, three grandchildren, Sherrie and husband, Greg Enis of Weatherford, Texas; Beckie and her husband, Glen Davis of College Station, Texas; and Wayne and wife, Shaye Coalson of Bronte; eight great-grandchildren; one brother, Bill and wife, Lavern Coalson of Potosi, Texas; and a daughter-in-law, Charlotte and her husband, Floyd Blackburn of Bronte.
