Memorial service was at 10 am Tuesday, October 21, 1997, in the First Baptist Church in Bronte, with Reverend Morris Johnson Officiating. Burial followed in Fairview Cemetery under the direction of Shaffer Funeral Home. Virginia was born October 13, 1905, in Italy, Texas. She married J. C. (Tug) Boatright September 20, 1928. He preceded her in death in 1985. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Bronte, the Diversity Club, the Home Demonstration Club, and The Joy Class. Virginia worked at the Tennyson Store, was the assistant post mistress, and also worked at the Miles Opera House. She was always quilting and loved flowers and tending to her yard. Survivors include one daughter, Martha Arrott and her husband, J. B. Arrott of Bronte; grandchildren, Jim Arrott and wife, Jane of San Angelo, Tim Arrott and wife, Lucretia of Bronte, and Deeana Reed and husband Cliff of Bronte: great-grandchildren, Brian Arrott and wife, Kandace of San Angelo; Jaime Arrott of San Angelo, Joanie Arrott of San Angelo, and Dusty Arrott, Natasha Reed, Natalee Reed, and Nicole Reed, all of Bronte. She is also survived by two sister-in-law and several nieces and nephews. Pallbearers were Jim Arrott, Tim Arrott, Brian Arrott, Dusty Arrott, and Cliff Reed.
