Service was held at 2:00 pm, Tuesday, September 23, 1997, at the First Baptist Church of Bronte with burial in Fairview Cemetery under direction of Shaffer Funeral Home of Bronte. Valeria was born in Quinlan, Texas to James F. and Mary Keasler Ryan on May 5, 1920. She moved to Coke County in 1937, marrying Jesse Parker, on July 13, of the same year. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Bronte and had worked as a LVN at the East Coke County Hospital for 15 years. She is survived by two sons, Jerry Mac Parker and Gerald Frank Parker of Bronte; one daughter, Phelan Ann Wrinkle of Robert Lee; one brother, James Ryan of Quinlan; four sisters Jo Nell Yarbrough of Hawley, Ima Mitchell, Vera Butler, and eight grandchildren, Randy Joe Corbin, Sujane Schoenfield, and Melinda Reed, all of Bronte, Kerry Wrinkle of Vernon, Christi Wrinkle of San Angelo, Amy Kelly of San Diego, Jay Parker, and Lane Parker of Bronte; and nine great-grandchildren.
