San Angelo Standard-Times, 30 May 1998 BILL KINNAIRD BRONTE - Bill Kinnaird, 66, of Bronte died Thursday, May 28, 1998, at his residence under Hospice Care. Service will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, May 31, at the First Baptist Church with the Rev. R.W. Blackmon officiating. Burial will follow in Montvale Cemetery in Sterling City, with services under the direction of Shaffer Funeral Home. Bill was born July 30, 1931, to James and Essie Kinnaird in Sulphur Springs, Hopkins County, Texas. He married Lynne Benge of Sterling City, Aug. 16, 1980. Bill was a man of many talents, a fireman in Corpus Christi, a commercial carpenter all over Texas, and an owner of the Red Barn Restaurant in Bronte since 1992. He was preceded in death by his brother, Mark Kinnaird. Survived by two sisters, Oleta Kinnaird of Dallas and Juanita Vicic of Denver. He was loving husband to Lynne Kinnaird of Bronte; and loving father to three sons and their wives, Michael and Janice Kinnaird of Rock Port, David and Mary Kinnaird of Hodges and Mark and Ronda Sites of San Angelo; a grandfather of five, Michael Jr. of Houston, Shannon of Corpus Christi, David Jr. of Bonham and Tanya and Brandon of Hodges; and great-grandfather of three, Victoria, Joseph and Ashley; father-in- law, W.Y. Benge of Sterling City; sisters-in-law, Nancy Barns of San Angelo and Carolyn Thorton of Dallas; and numerous cousins and friends all over Texas. Pallbearers will be C.B. Barbee, Philip Ratliff, Luis Charles, Royce Lee, Gerald Sandusky and Leslie Rolls. The Red Barn B.B.Q. coffee drinkers will serve as honorary pallbearers, including Ruppert Robbins, Jake McClure, Jim Ed Mackey, James Vivian and Roy Robinson.
