San Angelo Standard-Times, April 11, 1998 MARGARET `MAGGIE' HEARRELL SAYNER BRONTE - Margaret ``Maggie'' Hearrell Sayner of Tennyson went on to be with God on Thursday, April 9, 1998. Born in Maverick on June 14, 1903, Maggie grew up in Bronte. She lived in Tennyson for the 75 years following her marriage to her husband, Collins Sayner. Throughout these years, she was a wonderful helpmate to her husband. As a newlywed, living on the Sayner Ranch, she learned to raise chickens, turkeys and dogie lambs. Maggie loved flowers and was active in a garden club for many years. She and Collins were members of La Paloma Dance Club and enjoyed many Saturday evenings with their friends. She was a longtime member of the Bronte Baptist Church and, in later years, Tennyson Baptist Church. Her family and friends marveled at her sweet loving spirit during her years of poor health. We are grateful to God for sharing her with us. Survivors include her husband, Collins Sayner; Frank and Lillie Sayner of Granbury, Judith and Bo Bond of Golden, Colo., Frank and Beth Sayner of Ruidoso, N.M., Patsy and John Keene of Weatherford, Doris Keys of Sacramento, Calif.; and great-nieces and great-nephews. Service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, April 11, at the First Baptist Church in Bronte, and interment will be in Fairview Cemetery. Pallbearers and honorary pallbearers will be Gordon Dalton, Bruce Gentry, Robert Gentry, Robert Herring, Cumbie Ivey, George James, Tom Ridgway Jr. and Tom Ridgway Sr. Memorials may be made to Tennyson Baptist Church.
