Harmon, 79, of Robert Lee Died on Sunday, February 6, 2000 in the Grand Courts in San Angelo. Graveside services were held on Tuesday, February 8, 2000 at 2:00 pm in the Robert Lee Cemetery with Hospice Chapliln Paul Terry officiating. Services are under the direction of Shaffer Funeral Home. Alfred was born on February 14, 1920 in Coke County, Texas. He married Ethel Alice Counts on June 15, 1942 in San Angelo. Alfred had been a resident of Coke County most all of his life. He was a Veteran of WWII serving in the Air Force. He was a pipe fitter for Union Local 211 in Houston before his retirement in 1982. He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas R. Harmon and Amanda Elvira Sparks Harmon, a sister Ruby Lee Blair, and three brothers, Cortez Harmon, Crowley Harmon, and Finis Harmon. Survivors include his wife, Ethel Harmon of Robert Lee, a son Nick Harmon and wife Kim of League City, Texas; a sister Inez Harmon Hamn of Robert Lee; his twin Alf Harmon of San Angelo; Milton "Bill" Harmon of Waxahachie, Texas and Randie Harmon of San Angelo. Five grandchildren who served as honorary pallbearers Kristal Bitzen, Michael Bitzen, Cody Harmon, Amanda Blair and Beau Blair. Memorial may be made to the Hospice of San Angelo.
