Burial will be in Robert Lee Cemetery under the direction of Shaffer Funeral Home in Robert Lee. A memorial was held at the Quaker Avenue Church of Christ in Lubbock on Monday, November 6 with Elimore Johnson and David Langford conducting the service. She died Sunday, November 5, 2000, in Covenant Methodist Hospital after a brief illness. She was born November 25, 1949, in San Angelo. She married Jackie Smith on Aug. 7, 1970, in San Angelo. She graduated from Robert Lee High School and attended Abilene Christian University and Oklahoma State University before graduationg from Tarleton State University. She was a member of the Quaker Ave. Church of Christ in Lubbock and currently was employed at Shallowater High School. Survivors include her husband, Jackie; a daughter, Jessica, and a son, Joel, both of the home; parents J. C. and Jewell Wallace of Robert Lee; a sister, Susan Millican and husband Troy of Sterling City; two brothers, Jacky Wallace and wife Pam of Abilene and Buddy Wallace and wife Kip of Gail; seven Nieces, Lindsay Wallace, Cayla Millican, Kate Wallace, Susan Smith, Amy Hudgeons, Donna Smith and Julie Purdy; and five nephews, Tyler Wallace, Stephen Smith, Randall Smith, David Smith and Brian Flemmons.
