McFARLAND

R. L. "Leroy" McFarland, 81, of Blackwell died Monday, Oct. 2, 2000, in
a Sweetwater hospital.

Service was held at 2 p.m. Friday, Oct. 6, 2000, in Cate-Spencer & 
Trent Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Blackwell Cemetery.  

Survivors include his wife, Jynelle McFarland of Blackwell; two 
daughters, Robbie Smiley of Odessa and Sandra Birchfield of Andrews; a 
sister Oleta Scott of Blackwell; five grandchildren; and nine great-
grandchildren.
