O. "Joe" Brazier, 77, of Robert Lee died Monday, September 24, 2001, at his home. Funeral services were held at 10:00 am Friday, September 28, 2001 at Northside Church of Christ. Burial followed at 3:00 pm in Sunset Memorial Gardens in Odessa. Arrangements were by Shaffer Funeral Home. Joe was born on December 19, 1923, to Clarence Earl and Icy Lee Brazier in Ponta, Texas. He graduated from Rusk High School and was a Veteran of World War II in the United States Army serving in the Philippines. He worked as a machinist in the oilfield for a number of years and retired as manager of the G. E. Machine Shop in Odessa. He is survived by one daughter, Linda Ferguson and husband, John of Alto; a step-daughter, Suzanne Taylor of Marble Falls; two brothers, Jack Brazier and wife, Gynella of Houston and Delaney Brazier of Dallas; two granddaughters, Amanda Saunders and husband, Shawn of Shreveport, LA and D. J. Ferguson of Alto; two step-grandsons, Richard and Bill Earles, both of Odessa; and numerous nieces and nephews.
