Graveside services were held at 10:00 am, Monday, August 13, 2001, at Fort Chadbourne Cemetery with Brother R. W. Blackmon officiating. Arrangements were by Shaffer Funeral Home. Carrie was born in Blackwell, Texas to James Guy and Daisy Snow on October 27, 1914. She married Earl Brice on March 29, 1929. She was a longtime resident of Deming, New Mexico, then moving back to her roots, she had spent the past 28 years in Blackwell and Bronte. During her more active time, she was fond of hunting arrowheads with her husband and friends both in New Mexico and Texas. She was a member of the Baptist Church in Deming, New Mexico. She was preceded in death by her parents, James Guy Snow and Daisy Henderson; two sons, Billy Ray Brice and Allen Guy Brice; and two grandchildren, Linda Brice and Dale Moore. Carrie is survived by her husband of 72 years, Earl E. Brice; three children, Carol Gene Brice, Earline Brice Moore and husband Jack, Garry Dwane Brice and wife Marilynn. She is also survived by twelve grand- children, Anita McDuffie and husband William, Bruce Brice, Wendy Mayhill and husband, Joel, D'Lois Schumann, Deana Burk and husband, Greg, David Moore, Dane Moore and wife, Leslie, Lisa Pastran and husband Moses, Cris Brice, Brandi Brice, Billy Brice and wife Margaret, Jack Brice and wife, Margaret, Jack Brice; twenty-five great grandchildren; and three great great grandchildren.
