Funeral services were held at 2:00pm Monday, April 16, 2001 at Central Baptist Church in Bronte, Texas with Reverend John Driggers officiating. Burial followed in Fairview Cemetery. Services were arranged by Shaffer Funeral Home. Mr. Moore was born on May 24, 1939 in Archer City, Texas. He was the second child of Bilbern "Bill" & Dora Moore. Johnny & Pat were married January 7, 1958 and made their home in Odessa where he & his father wer partners in the "Moore's Dirt Contractor's" company. In 1978, Johnny moved his business and his family which included: his wife, Pat, their five children, his sister, Mollie, her two children, his mother & father to Bronte where they founded what is affectionaately known as Mooresville." Mr. Moore was preceded in death by his parents Mr. & Mrs. W. H. Moore. Mr. Moore is survived by: his wife, Patricia Lois Moore of Bronte; his daughter & son-in-law, Pixie Kay & Cleon Gilley of Robert Lee; his sons & daughters-in-law, Mark Wayne & Rhonda Moore, Matthew Lee & Melanie Moore of Bronte; his sons, Johnny Clyde Moore, Jr., Timothy Ray Moore, both of Bronte; a sister, Mollie Moore Childs of Bronte; a brother Luther Wilbern Moore of Bronte; five grandchildren, Crystal Lynn, Justin Lee, Curtis William, Kaitlin Patricia, all of Bronte and Taisa Lynn of Gardendale; several nieces & nephews and great nieces & nephews and many good friends Permission granted by Observer/Enterprise for publication in the Coke County TXGenWeb Archives
