Funeral services were held at Robert Lee Baptist church on Monday, November 5, 2001. Reverend Roy Lane, pastor of First Evangelical Methodist Church officiated. Burial followed in Sanco Cemetery with arrangements by Shaffer Funeral Home. Mrs. McKinley was born at Sanco, Texas, January 27, 1905, to Ira A. and Mary Maud Cosby Bird. She attended Sanco school, graduated from San Angelo High School and Hardin Simmons University. She taught school at Union, Friendship and Silver in Coke County. She married Aubrey F. McKinley December 6, 1930, at Sanco, Texas. She and her husband farmed and ranched on the Colorado River 12 miles northwest of Robert Lee. She was a board member of the First Evangelical Methodist Church in San Angelo. She was preceded in death by her husband, Aubrey and one sone, Robert Bird McKinley; her parents; and one sister, Mary Jo Pentecost. She is ssurvived by one daughter, June McKinley Gulley and husband Bob of Robert Lee, one grandson, Lynn Gulley of San Angelo. also surviving are one hephew, James B. Pentecost and wife, Kathy, two grandnieces Janet Tinsley and husband, Ron, and Rachel Frost and Husband, Jason; and two grandnephews, Mike and Travis Pentecost. Pallbearers were Mike Pentecost, Travis Pentecost, Jason Frost, Ron Tinsley, Curtis Walker and Lonnies Bloodworth.
