Burial was in Holly Lake Cemetery. Mr. Shoemaker died Aug 2, 2001, in a Tyler hospital. Survivors include his wife, Sue Dozier Shoemaker, Lindale; son, Stephen D. Shoemaker, Valparaiso, IN; daughters, Debra S. Young, Frisco, Emily L. Andrew Hartwig, Wylie; mother Estelle Shoemaker, Holly Lake Ranch; brothers A. T. Shoemaker, Jr. and Richard Shoemaker, both of Holly Lake Ranch; sisters Kathleen Thomson, Holly Lake Ranch, Betty Gardner, Monroe, LA, and Mary Jo Hill, Denison; and five grandchildren. Delbert and Sue Shoemaker lived in Robert Lee in the late 50's and the 60's. They were members of the Robert Lee Eastern Star Chapter No. 187.
