She died in Abilene, Texas on March 15, 2002. Virginia's family moved tc Bronte in 1927, where she at­tended Bronte schools. She continued her education on a music scholarship at Mary Hardin Baylor College in Bel­ton and later graduated from Baylor University in Waco. Gina met and married Charlie C. Boecking in 1940. They had one son, Tom Boecking. Charlie preceded her in death in 1986. Virginia was employed at First National Bank in Bronte for 36 years and retired as Cashier. She continued to be active in the bank as a Director until her death. She loved art and taught art classes in her studio and home for many years. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Bronte, the Diversity Club and the Sorosis Club. She later enjoyed the telephone Sunday School classes offered by First Baptist Church of Abilene. Virginia moved to Abilene in 1994 to be near her son, Tom and wife, Marian. She had many friends at Mesa Springs Retirement Community and Wisteria Place. She was especially proud of her grandsons, and their lovely wives. Gina is survived by her son, Tom Boecking and wife, Marian of Abilene, grandsons, Chuck Boecking and wife, Monique, Brent Boecking and wife Ana of Round Rock, Texas, Neil Boecking of Irving, Texas; and one sister and husband Mary and E. F. "Tuny" Glenn of Bronte. The family request that memorials be made to Hendrick Hospice Care, 1682 Hickory, Abilene, Texas 79604; First Baptist Church of Bronte; City Light Community Ministries 336 Hickory Street, Abilene, Texas 79601. The family received friends at North's Funeral Home on Sunday March 17, 2002 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm. Family visi­tation in Bronte was Monday March 18 2002 at Shaffer Funeral Home in Bronte from 11:00 to 12:00. Funeral ser­vices were held at First Baptist Church in Bronte on Monday, March 18, 2002, at 2:00 pm with interment following at Fort Chadbourne Cemetery. Pallbearers were Chuck Boecking, Brent Boecking, Neil Boecking, Jason Pierce, Martin Lee and Frank Sanders. Honorary pallbearers were Wade Arledge, Therell Burwick, Royce Fancher, Jim Thomas, and Earl "Tuny" Glenn.
