San Angelo Standard-Times, 10 May 2002 DEBBIE CONLEY Debbie Conley passed away Wednesday, May 8, 2002, at her home at the age of 44. Debbie was born Dec. 10, 1957, in Midland, Texas, to John “Mike” and Marie Ross. She graduated from Robert Lee High School and married Mike Conley in 1976. She was a stay at home Mom while her children were small, and when they went to school she volunteered with Fannin Elementary’s VIP program, volunteering in many different areas. At one time, she worked at Fannin Elementary as treasurer, and had worked as secretary for their church, Trinity United Methodist Church, first on a volunteer basis, and then later on with pay. She also worked as secretary for Glen Meadows Baptist Church until her illness no longer permitted. Debbie was an avid Texas Rangers fan. She was preceded in death by her father, Mike Ross. Debbie is survived by her husband of 25 years, Mike Conley; one son, Sam Conley; one daughter, Stacie Conley, all of San Angelo; her mother, Marie Ross of Robert Lee; one brother, Dennis Ross and wife, Roxie, of Robert Lee; her mother and father-in-law, John and Maudie Conley, both of Robert Lee; many aunts and uncles; and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, May 11, at Trinity United Methodist Church. Burial will follow in Paint Creek Cemetery in Coke County at 1 p.m. The family requests that memorials be made to Trinity United Methodist Church or to the donor’s favorite charity.
