Hamilton, 82, of Fredericksburg, died Friday, January 25, 2002 at Hill Country Memorial Hospital Funeral services were held Tuesday, Jan. 29, at 2 pm in the Beckmann Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. D. G. McCoury officiating. Marilyn Jenkins was the organist and Kay Hamilton, the vocalist. Interment was in the Hill Crest Cemetery at Morris Ranch. Hamilton was born on April 27, 1919 at Ranger, the son of John F. Hamilton Sr. and Mollie Bertha Wilson Hamilton. He married Dala Owen in Robert lee in 1942 and she survives. He was a retired electrician for a petroleum company and a U. S. Army veteran of World War II. In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son and daughter and their spouses, Ronnie and Melinda Hamilton and Linda and Hugh Wallace, all of Fredericksburg. Also surviving are six grandchildren and four great grandchildren; two brothers and a sister, Claude B. Hamilton and his wife, Leona of Roswell, NM; Melvin Hamilton and his wife, Sandy of Dexter, NM, and Doris Shandley of Robert Lee. He was preceded in death by a brother, Donald Hamilton and four sisters, Jessie Mae Hurley, Faye Eubanks, Louise Gaddy and Lois Adams. Pallbearers were Jerry Holden, Allan Hamilton, Dennis Davidson, Jonathan Wallace, Donald Holden and Terry Hamilton.
