San Angelo Standard-Times, 19 May 2002 BRONTE — Alfred Carson “Sam” Hammer III, 42, died Friday, May 17, 2002, at his residence. Service will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Full Gospel Assembly Church in San Angelo with burial at 4 p.m. in Fairview Cemetery in Bronte. Arrangements are by Shaffer Funeral Home. Survivors include his parents, the Rev. A.C. and Velma Hammer of Bronte; brothers, Gary Eugene Hammer of Bakersfield, Calif., Ronald Edward Hammer of Fort Worth and Leroy Schaefer; and sisters, Linda Lee Knox of McEwen, Tenn., Peggy Hammer of Denton, Debbie Farqhar of North Richland Hills and Jennifer Schaefer.
