She left this life Sunday, April 14, 2002 to enter the blessed presence of the Lord. Funeral services were held at 10:00 am Tuesday, April 16, 2002 at the First Baptist Church in Bronte. Burial followed in Fairview Cemetery. Services were under direction of Shaffer Funeral Horne. She married Ctytus Smith on January 10, 1929 in Ballinger. To this union were born a son, Johnny and a daughter Linda. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and eight brothers and sislers. She is survived by her son, John SmithArlington, Texas, her daughter, Linda Martz of Houston, Texas; one brother, Weldon Hester of Weatherford, Texas; five grandchildren; and five great grandchildren. Mozelle was converted in the Methodist Church at the age of thirteen. She became a member of the First Baptist Church in Bronte in 1940. She taught Sunday School classes in the Baptist Church for many years. Pallbearers will be C. B. Barbee, George Snapp, Ray Bamen, Clifton Reed, Keith Fletcher, and Bill Thomason.
