A rosary was held at 7:00 pm Wednesday, August 20, 2003, at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Funeral Mass was held at 11:00 am Thursday, Augusut 21, 2003, at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Burial followed in the Robert Lee Cemetery. Arrangements were by Shaffer Funeral Home. Suvivors include his wife, Mickey Montanez Abalos of Robert Lee; sons, Willie Abalos, Jr. of Midland, Tony Abalos of Amarillo, Rudy Abalos of Houston, Poly Abalos of Midland, Jorge Abalos of Artesia, NM, Danny Abalos of Sonora, Ernie Abalos of Robert Lee, and Gilbert Abalos of Bristol; daughters, Susie Ramirez of Sonora and Mari Ann Bagley of Odessa; brothers, Joe Abalos of Winnie, John Abalos of Sweetwater, and Selso Abalos of Winnie; and sisters, Maggie Jacobo of San Angelo, Lita Gonzales of Robert Lee, Ann Purcell of Lancaster, Ohio, Mary Gonzales of El Paso and Aurora Stephens of Odessa.
