A prayer service will be at 7 p.m. Friday, April 25, at Shaffer Funeral Home. Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 26, at the First Baptist Church in Bronte with Brother Morris Johnson officiating. Lorenzo was born on Jan. 9, 1984, in San Angelo, to Martin and Susan DeLaGarza. He attended school in Bronte from kindergarten through his graduation in May 2002. Lorenzo had a passion for sports and excelled athletically. After suffering an aneurysm at the end of his freshman year in high school, he returned to school in Bronte and found great enjoyment in watching his classmates play the sports that he loved. His caring spirit touched the lives of many in the community of Bronte and he had a wide circle of friends and family who have many unforgettable memories of their friend they called “Zo.” Lorenzo was a Christian and a loyal member of the First Baptist Church in Bronte. He found great joy and happiness in the simple pleasures of living each day to the fullest. Lorenzo is survived by his parents, Martin and Susan DeLaGarza of Bronte; his sister, Monica DeLaGarza; his grandparents, Manuel and Paz Sanchez of Bronte and Carmen DeLaGarza of Abilene; and a great-grandmother, Martha Garcia of San Angelo. He is also survived by many beloved family members and friends. The family would like to express their gratitude and love to the community for their love, support and prayers. “For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son that whosoever believeth in Him shall not perish but have everlasting life.
