She battled a long illness. Betty was born to Johnny Lee Hardin and Eva Thursie Hardin on Jan. 10, 1944. She was 59 years old. She married Robert Dale Keele on May 28th of 1963. She was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Annie Owens; and one brother, Johnny “Jr.” Hardin. Survivors include her husband, Robert Dale Keele of Bronte; one daughter, Pam Smith and her husband, Raymond Smith, of San Angelo; three granddaughters, Pamela Kresta of San Angelo, Jasmine Kresta of Bronte and Summer Smith of San Angelo; one grandson, Raymond Smith of San Angelo; one step-granddaughter, Michelle Smith and one step-great-grandson, Christopher Lipps, both of San Angelo; three sisters, Evelyn Hollis of Ballinger, Louise Green and her husband, Gene, of Austin and Jolene Herridge and her husband, Earl, of Ballinger; many brothers and sisters-in-law; and numerous nieces and nephews, and great-nieces and nephews. Graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, April 29, in Fairview Cemetery. Permission granted by the San Angelo Standard-Times for publication in the Coke County TXGenWeb Archives.
