The submitter has given permission to the USGenWeb Archives to store the file permanently for free access. *********************************************************************** The Observer/Enterprise, Robert Lee, Coke County, TX - Maarch 7, 2003 Melvin Wayne Womack Melvin Wayne Womack, 49, of Bronte, died Sunday, March 2, 2003, at Shannon Medical Center in San Angelo, after a lengthy illness. He was born on January 13, 1954 in Spokane, WA to Marvin Wayne and Lou Flanary Womack. Melvin married JoAnn Kirkham on December 30, 1977; they just celebrated their 25th Wedding Anniversary. He proudly served in the Air Force. He and his family have lived in Bronte seven years. Survivors include his wife, JoAnn of Bronte; daughters, Wynema and husband, Eric Pedroza of San Angelo, Krissy Seale of Ft. Worth, Diane Womack and Kimberly Womack of Bronte; son, Eric Williams of San Angelo; his parents, Melvin and Lou Womack of San Angelo; sister, Brenda and husband, Phil Young of Wentachee, WA; brother, David and wife, Julia Womack of Chula Vista, CA; mother-in-law, Jackie Kirkham of San Angelo; four grandchildren. There also many extended family members and friends that will miss Melvin, yet give thanks that he is free of earthly pain and suffering. Graveside services were held aat 10:00 am on Wednesday, March 5, at Fairview Cemetery in Bronte under the direction of Shaffer Funeral Home with Dr. David Womack officiating. The family wishes to express their deepest heartfelt thanks to Dr. Neil Chinn, Dr. Rick Hiller, Dr. Mohamad Ayass, Dr. Robert Hinshaw, all of the wonderful ICU nad fourth floor nursing staff for their loving care for Melvin and his family.
