Services were held at First Baptist Church of Bronte on Sunday, February 29, 2004 at 3:00. Services were under the direction of Shaffer Funeral Home. James' pastor, Morris Johnson officiated the service with assist-ance from youth ministers Myron Halford and Scott Venable. Pallbearers were Joel Webb, Blaine Dyess, Neal Shaw, Lyndon Butler, Tyson Baker, Charlie Bettis, Eric Johnson, and Brandon Poehls. Burial followed in Fairview Cemetery where James was buried next to his grandmother, Pat Wilson. James was born October 4, 1984 in San Angelo, Texas, but lived in Bronte. James graduated from Bronte High School. He attended Tarleton State University and Howard College. James was an active member of First Baptist Church of Bronte. He was saved and then made his profession of faith public on July 11,1993. He was baptized on August 8, 1993. Along with his spiritual walk, he spent time farming, golfing and hanging out at T & C. PeeWee is survived by the following immediate family: parents, Jerry and Susan Graves; brothers, Scott and Jake Graves; grandparetns, Nit and Chester Wilson and Louise Graves; Aunt Jeanne Schneider, Uncle Roger Graves, and Uncle R. T. Baker; and cousins, Jessica Schneider, Larry, Dalton, and Kendra Graves, and Margie Newcomb. He is also survived by his girlfriend Ryan Martinez and her entire family. If desired, memorials may be made to First Baptist Church of Bronte, Bronte Fire Department or Ambulance Service, Texas Tech's "Campaign Against Drowsy Drivers", or to the charity of your choice.
