Memorial services were held at 11:00 am Tuesday, April 13, 2004 at the North Park Baptist Church in Abilene. Graveside service followed in the Robert Lee Cemetery at 3:30 pm. Arrangements were by Shaffer Funeral Home. Maurice was born on March 25, 1926, in Robert Lee to Harris Boyd and Willie Yarbrough. He was preceded in death by two daughters, Wanda Yarbrough in 1963 and Wadren Yarbrough in 1967. He is survived by his wife, Jo-Nell Yarbrough, two daughters, Linda Waunice Abalos and husband, Tony & LaVina Kay Rivera and husband, Jay; five grandchildren, Kimberly Denise Molter, Carson Blaine Clanton, Tyler Ryan Abalos, Melodie Paige Willoughby & Spencer Thomas Willoughby; two great-grandchildren, Alex & Anthony; two sisters, Maxine Fields & Betty Prince; one brother, Lyndon Wayne Yarbrough. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the North Park Baptist Church or the Robert Lee Baptist Church.
