Obituary: Margaret Adell Lee Martin, August 23, 2006 Contributed by Brenda Scott Hines Oct 2015 *********************************************************************** The San Angelo Standard Times, Tom Green County, TX, August 25, 2006 Margaret Adell Lee Martin Margaret Lee Martin, 89, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 23, 2006. She was born February 25, 1917 and was a longtime resident of Runnels and Coke counties. She was a member of the Diversity Club, past Worthy Matron of Eastern Star, in the first class of the Texas Silver Hair Legislature and a member of the First Baptist Church of Bronte, Texas. Margaret loved to sing and play the piano, never shying away from entertaining anyone who would listen. Prior to retiring, she was employed by Coke County Health and Human Services. She was preceded in death by her parents, Renza and Bernice Lee; husband John Wilburn Martin, son Gary D. Martin, grandson John Kevin Martin; two brothers, Clyde and Joe B. Lee, and one sister Dorothy Kiker. She is survived by her daughter, Dorothy Ruth "Dot" Mitchell; surrogate daughter, Melissa Lee Hoch; brother, Royce Lee; grandchildren; Russ and Kelly Perry, and Eric Martin; great grandchildren; Callen, Landon and Gage Perry; and many nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Russ Perry, Eric Martin, Ronnie Lee, Turner Lee, Billy Ren Lee, Michael Hoch, Callen Perry, Landon Perry and Gage Perry. Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Friday, August 23, at the First Baptist Church in Bronte with burial in Fairview Cemetery in Bronte, Texas. Arrangements are by Shaffer Funeral Home.
