Obituary - Elaine Glenn Alford, Amarillo, Texas Contributed by Brenda Scott Hines January 2010 ******************************************************************************* The Observer/Enterprise, Coke County, Texas - Dec. 25, 2009 ALFORD Elaine Glenn Alford, age 63, of Amarillo, Texas, passed away December 18, 2009. Funeral services were held at 10 am Monday, December 21, 2009, at Hillside Christian Church Chapel. Greg Corona, Pastor, officiated. Arrangements were by Schooler Funeral Home. Elaine was born in 1946 to James Veron and Bobbie Jean Foreman Glenn in San Angelo, Texas. She moved with her family to Amarillo where she graduated from Tascosa High School and soon after attended West Texas State. She married her husband, Charlie Alford, in 1969 in Amarillo. Elaine enjoyed camping and fishing with her family and friends. She was a blessed daughter, wife, mother, grandmother and friend, whose life was full of laughter and love. She is preceded in death by her mother, Bobbie Glenn; her husband, Charlie Earl Alford; and her brother Mason Glenn. Survivors include her father, James Vernon Glenn and wife Bess of Amarillo, Texas; two daughters, Amy Clawson and husband, Dan, and Allison Alford, all of Amarillo; and two precious grandchildren, Amanda and Trevor Clawson.
