Obituary: Martha Boatright Arrott, September 17, 2010 Contributed by Brenda Scott Hines September 2010 *********************************************************************** The Observer/Enterprise, Coke County, TX - September 24, 2010 ARROTT Martha Boatright Arrott, 80, of Bronte passed away Friday, September 17, 2010, at a San Angelo hospital surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Miles, Texas, on August 3, 1930, to J. C. "Tug" and Virginia Hester Boatright. She attended school at Brookshire and Bronte, graduating from Bronte High School in 1948. Martha and J. B. Arrott were married August 3, 1950. Martha was very involved in First Baptist Church of Ballinger where she was always willing to greet you with a smile and a big hug. She could be found rocking babies in the nursery, washing dishes in the kitchen or giving motherly advice. Up until the day she died her time was filled with weekly Bridge Club, Eighty-eight, and Woman's Club. She was her grandkids' biggest supporter; she could always be found at their sporting events, rodeos, or other activities. If there was any time left in the week, she and J. B. could be found traveling to Ruidoso, San Antonio, or simply having coffee at the Town and Country in Bronte enjoying the fellowship of others, but most of all their time was spent together. She is survived by her husband, J. B.; three children, Jim Bob Arrott and wife, Jane, of Evant, Tim Arrott and wife, Lucretia, and Deanna Reed and husband, Cliffy, all of Bronte; seven grandchildren, Brian (Kandace) Arrott, Jaime (Patrick) Foster, Joanie Arrott, Dusty Arrott, Natasha, Natalee and Nicole Reed and two great-grandchildren, McKenzie and Carter Arrott. Visitation for family and friends was Saturday, September 18, from 5 pm to 7 pm at Lange Funeral Home in Ballinger. Funeral services were Sunday, September 19, at First Baptist Church in Ballinger with Bro. Bobby Broyles officiating. Burial followed in Fairview Cemetery in Bronte. The family requests that memorials be made to the First Baptist Church of Ballinger or their favorite charity. Arrangements were with Lange Funeral Home of Ballinger.
