Obituary: Isham M. Austin, Jr., June 29, 2010 Contributed by Brenda Scott Hines September 2010 *********************************************************************** The Observer/Enterprise, Coke County, TX - July 9, 2010 AUSTIN Isham M. Austin, Jr., 82, passed away on Tuesday, June 29, 2010, at Shannon Medical Center. Visitation was held all day Thursday, July 1, 2010, at the funeral home with the family present from 6 pm - 8 pm. Funeral service was at 10 am Friday, July 2, 2010 at the Robert Lee large Recreation Center, officiated by Kenion Coleman and Warren Taylor. Burial followed at Sanco Cemetery. Services were under the direction of Shaffer Funeral Home. Isham was born on July 14, 1927, to Isham M. Austin, Sr. And Lili Byrd (Cope) Austin in Coke County. Isham spent most of his days in Coke County. He was a talented carpenter. He was in the union and helped build Shannon Hospital in San Angelo, Texas. Isham was a hard worker and provided well for his family. His family was very important to him and he put their needs above his own. He will be greatly missed by all those who knew and loved him. Isham is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Mae Dell Austin; his parents; two brothers, Don Austin and Clint Austin. He is survived by his children Monty Austin and wife Neva of Robert Lee, Travis Austin and wife Norma of Texarkana, Texas, Connie Gettings and husband Ray of Bloomington, California, Venita Price and husband Dennis of Odessa; his brother, Stanley Austin of Porter, Texas; his sisters, Eva Ruth Taylor and husband Charles of Springfield, Missouri, Jane Bruckner of Ft.
