Obituary: Frank Dean Bryan, April 27, 2010 Contributed by Brenda Scott Hines June 2010 *********************************************************************** The Observer/Enterprise Friday, May 7, 2010 BRYAN Frank Dean Bryan, who, with his brother Wilson, spent his early years in Robert Lee, died April 27, 2010, in Bellevue, Washington. Born December 30, 1917, in Hawkins, Texas. Frank was 92 at the time of his death. The youngest child of Frank and Lillie birdie Bryan, Frank was a proud alumni of Robert Lee High School. He was married to Doris Simpson Bryan for 66 years, from March 4, 1939, until her death in June of 2005. For the 35 years following his retirement from the US Army, they made their home in Fortuna, California. Their surviving son, Patrick, resides with his wife Gayle in Bellevue, Washington. Except for a period in the late 1940s, when he ran Frank's Foods in downtown Robert Lee, Frank made his career in the Army, serving during WWII, Korea, and the Vietnam War. He was buried with full military honors on May 4, 2010, at the San Joaquin Valley National Cemetery in California.
